“So what are your favourite apps?” was a question that I got asked in my last first date (sounds like an oxymoron, I know). Welcome to dating in the modern day.
Here is my answer to that question – the top 15 apps I love to use. Clicking on the app names leads to the Apple Itunes store, in case you want to download them. That’s also where I got the descriptions from.
My Top 15 Favourite Apps
(1) Blogger. The official Blogger app, for blogging on the go. This is quite limited compared to the website, but in case of emergency (LOL), this will do.
(2) Bloglovin. Helps you follow all your favorite blogs & discover new ones. This is the blog feed I use to keep updated with all the blogs I want to read. You can add any blog on there, even if the blogger has not registered their site. But if they have, then they’d be able to see how many followers they have, and customise their profile picture & description. It’s a must for all bloggers, I think. You can follow me here.
(3) Buffer. Share to your Twitter, Facebook, Google+, LinkedIn and App.net account, all from one place and at optimal times. Any link, text, picture or video you want to share, add it to your Buffer. Your updates will automatically be scheduled and posted well spaced out over the day to your favorite social networks. Say you find 5 great articles and 2 funny images you want to share. Posting them all in a row is a pain for your friends and followers. Instead add them to your Buffer and you are good to go with great social updates for the next few days.
(4) Evernote. An easy-to-use, free app that helps you remember everything across all of the devices you use. Stay organized, save your ideas and improve productivity. Evernote lets you take notes, capture photos, create to-do lists, record voice reminders–and makes these notes completely searchable, whether you are at home, at work, or on the go.
(5) Facebook. See what friends are up to. Share updates, photos and videos. Get notified when friends like and comment on your posts. Text, chat and have group conversations. Play games and use your favorite apps. To be honest, though, I have a love-hate relationship with this site but I can’t deactivate my account because all the people I care about are on there! You can like my page here.
(6) IMDB. Find showtimes, watch trailers, browse photos, track your must-see list and rate your favorite movies and TV shows! IMDb is the world’s largest collection of movie, TV and celebrity info. They aim to list every detail about every movie and TV show ever made, including who was in it, who made it, the plot, user ratings, trailers, photos, reviews, quotes, goofs, trivia and much more.
(7) Instacollage. Helps you quickly combine multiple sized photos into one beautifully framed picture & unique collage with caption in seconds, then share your masterpiece to Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and Flickr.
(8) Instagram. It’s a simple way to capture and share the world’s moments on your phone. Customize your photos and videos with one of several gorgeous and custom built filter effects. Transform everyday moments into works of art you’ll want to share with friends and family. Share your photos and videos with friends and followers in a photo feed, or send posts directly to your friends. Follow what your friends post with the click of a single button – this one is mine! 😀
(9) Line. A new communication app that allows you to make FREE voice calls and send FREE messages whenever and wherever you are, 24 hours a day. What I really love about this app are the cute stickers, which they were the first to use before all the other chat apps followed suit. You can also make group names for different chat rooms and even customise the backgrounds for each group. It also shows you how many people have already read the conversations.
(10) Pinterest. Pinterest is a tool to find your inspiration and share it with others. Use it to collect things you love, organise and plan important projects and more. It’s so addicting! You can check out my boards here.
(11) Remember the Milk. Take your to-do list anywhere with this feature-packed app; never forget the milk (or anything else) again. Remember The Milk (RTM) app connects with the popular online service of the same name. With millions of users worldwide, Remember The Milk is everywhere you are: from mobile to the web to apps including Outlook, iCal, Gmail, Google Calendar, Twitter, and more.
(12) Sidereel. SideReel helps you find, track, and watch your favorite TV shows on your iPhone or iPad. Create a personalized show tracker to keep on top of your favorite TV series. Check off episodes you’ve watched. Create an individualized show calendar, and get alerts when your shows have a new episode airing. Find out about new series, and browse thousands of shows by genre. Find out which episodes of your favorite shows are available to stream from quality sources such as iTunes and Hulu Plus.
(13) Twitter. Twitter is the best way to connect, express yourself and discover what’s happening, 140 characters at a time. Connect with people and your interests to get unfiltered access and unique behind-the-scenes perspectives. Express yourself with photos, videos and comments. Discover what’s happening. Get real-time stories, pictures, videos, conversations, ideas, and inspiration all in your timeline. You can follow me here.
(14) 8tracks Radio. Free music playlists. They’ve got it all in droves — you can pick from more than 1 million fresh, free playlists, each curated by someone who knows and loves music. Enjoy millions of songs uploaded and curated by people ‘round the world.
(15) 9gag. The best funny pics, GIFs, videos, memes, cute, wtf, geeky, cosplay photos on the web. Your best source of happiness and awesomeness. Share anything you find interesting, get real responses from people all over the world, and discover what makes you laugh!
P.S. I’m running a giveaway for my 9th bloggy birthday. Please join!

This is a lot like my own phone, but I'd add Whats App as well. And I find the blogger app really frustrating to use so I avoid it at all costs…but I do have it one my phone. x

Ah yes, I use that too! It's quite awesome, and Facebook thought so too. :D<br />I agree that Blogger app is frustrating. I realized that when you draft something on it and then post it days later, the post will appear as posted on the date you first drafted it. What the – ?
