During an ST conference planning our TL’s birthday surprise, I brought up the idea of throwing a bridal shower for Cris, our bride-to-be 
teammate. Mich and Jo were quick to agree, and so I sent out an invite to all the women of AP (accounts payable).
Since it was last minute and since I have never ever been to a bridal shower before, the only thing that popped in my mind was videoke. After getting confirmations from around 10 women, I made reservations in IO KTV. As usual Mich did the collecting and also bought our naughty little gift. Jo was in charge of bringing Cris to the venue. Since it was supposed to be a surprise, she cooked up some story about needing to talk to Cris about something, to which Cris agreed. I also tried to get Darwin to dance for the bride-to-be, but he refused. Later on, Osma managed to talk to Thom, who was game, so long as he had a partner, which later turned out to be Robert. And so the plot thickens.
So at 7pm, 6 gals met at the ground floor so that Cris would not see us together, then walked 
over to IO. When we got there, Jo texted to say that Cris had already found out because Osma had slipped about the party. Aww. Oh well.
And so we sang and ate until Osma arrived, saying she had a surprise. Then we played the song “Goodies” whereupon Thom and Robert came in, dancing. We were laughing so hard but the boys got shy and stopped when my camera flashed.
Still, I got a pretty interesting pic of Thom grooving. After a few more songs we presented Cris with her gift — see-through nighties and lingerie! Then we danced the remaining songs away before packing up and leaving. There’s still work tomorrow. But at least we had fun. Whoopee!
