After a long LONG time, the office gang finally had a chance to get together again last Friday night. Once again we booked a room at Millenium Plaza Hotels (one bedroom suite), checked in with food and drinks, and blabbed till dawn. There was just so much catching up to do!
Keso had come to Manila all the way from Tuguegarao and we all complimented her on how how much weight she had lost. Liza and Jerome dropped by for awhile but did not stay the night.
Jerome was so sweet…he brought white roses for each of us girls. The story of the roses dates back to our second “monthsary” in P&G. We had won chocolates during our first monthsary so we joked to Jerome if he could give us roses on our second one. He actually obliged and bought a bunch of red roses for us to share. Unfortunately, we left it behind in Dom’s car where his girlfriend’s mom found it and caused a lot of grief for him. It was, after all, hard to explain about the second monthsary thing. I mean, would your girlfriend’s mom buy that story even if that was really true?
We also bought a cake for Drew, who is celebrating his birthday the following week. Instead of your typical “happy birthday” though, what was written on the cake was “Rosalie, will you marry me?” — our inside joke for the day (I won’t even try to explain, it is such a long story and you probably won’t find it funny the way we did). I really missed these times. We had so much fun that we promised to make this a monthly event. I so hope we make good on this deal!
