Cate and Roni, two of my best friends in College who are still in Zamboanga, are both here in Manila right now for a vacation, albeit with different companions. A dinner get together was set up for last Saturday, but before that, I invited Cate to be my guest in the Mandarin swimming pool. Maya came with us, too.

I’m so happy because I can finally truly swim. I still occasionally snort water through my nose, but most of the time I can swim across the pool without any problem. Yippee! But our official graduation would be next week, though Jaypee, Ivy and I already treated Coach Alroy to dinner in Italiannis last Thursday.

After our swim, Cate and Maya and I showered and spent a few minutes in the sauna before heading to Kitchen in Greenbelt 3. Zenie and Roni met us there. We did not enjoy the food there actually. The seafood pasta was okay, but the rest, especially the bottomless iced tea that tasted like brown sugar, were not worth our money. We hastily asked for the bill and left.

Our next stop was Bedspace, also in Greenbelt, for dessert. They all had dessert and I had the Bed Rest mocktail – a blend of strawberry, vanilla, orange and guyabano, with a cherry on top. It was delicious. I also tried knotting the cherry stem with my tongue but did not succeed. Drats. That means I’m not a good kisser. I need more practice. Nyahaha. Then Roni’s bro picked her up and we brought Cate to her apartelle.
