Francis “Kiko” Magalona or as he is also known FrancisM, Master Rapper, and The Man From Manila is credited as being the first Filipino rapper in the Philippines to successfully crossover to the mainstream. He is also popularly known as the “King of Pinoy Rap” and is one of the most idolized, celebrated and influential rappers within the genre.

Francis is actually the dad of one of our officemates, Unna, who was celebrating her birthday yesterday. Probably the reason why he was chosen to be our guest.
The program began with an interview portion with Dave, our office resident host and rapper who confessed to having Francis as the inspiration behind who he is now.
It was a very entertaining hour, and even those who said they wouldn’t stay long were held rapt by this guy who looked more handsome in person and who did not look like his age at all.
After the interview, Francis regaled us with a rendition of “Kaleidoscope World” backed by homegrown P&G talents.
After he was done we yelled for more, and though it wasn’t part of the plan, Francis gave in and asked his manager to pop a minus one so he could sing “Cold Summer Nights” and “Kababayan.”
While singing the former, he kneeled down infront of Gelle, who was sitting beside me, and held her hand then kissed it.
Then he went around and serenaded other girls as well, including Rome, another friend of mine.
Yep, that guy is one heck of an entertainer and I am so glad I went, even though I was actually just forced to because my boss had appointed me to sell tickets for our floor. ^_^
