In P&G it is the custom to change roles after every 2 years or so to prevent employees from getting bored being stuck in the same role forever, and also to provide opportunities for growth. And so we bid adieu to 6 lovely ladies (Leah, Kris, Mich, Rhea, Toni & Melai) last September 13 in a videoke session in Music21. The evening started out with singing and eating which soon escalated to teasing and dancing and finally, to a grand fans day for Joel and Jon as all the celebrants clamored for much coveted pictures with two of P&G’s most admired hunks. Well at least they got their chance before they left our group. Lucky for me I’d still get to see them everyday, though. Hahaha! And as for the title, I don’t think such a word exists but I have it established it as one, so just go with it.
Speaking of despedida, two of my housemates, who were both former officemates of mine as well in KPMG, are leaving to work for KPMG of foreign shores. Chu has actually already left for Thailand last September 12, and Zenie is leaving for Jersey Island, UK, in October. So both Capricorns of the house have left, and we had their-despedida-slash-my-birthday-party in Hap Chan a week before my birthday. I sure am gonna miss them, but I’m also really happy for them so don’t mind them gone at all. I hope I, too, will follow in their footsteps someday soon. 🙂
