College classmates got together in our favorite pig-out place, Dampa, to celebrate:
a. Maya’s training in Houston early next year
b. Ronald’s new job with great pay & perks (including the birthday cake stipulated in the job offer ^^)
c. Carl’s birthday & upcoming BAR exam (hope he passes coz he promised that if he did, I can murder someone and he’d defend me pro bono)
d. Carlo’s upcoming promotion as BOO (branch operations officer)
e. my despedida (Maya & Gay gave me a cake for this)
f. Gay’s…ummm…new laptop? Well at least now she can see her boyfriend and not just hear him 😉
After feasting on our favorite buttered shrimp and baked tahong, among others(still can’t believe we finished all that food!), we had a LONG walk to Starbucks. My favorite conversation for the night:
Carl: Dee’s wit is so sharp that pag binara nya ako, usually hindi na ako nakakasagot. And sobrang happy sya pag nagagawa nya yun.
(everybody goes ‘uyyyy’)
Me: Actually, I think that’s the reason why we broke up.
(laughter, more “uyyyy’)
Me: Wait, bakit ba kami lang napapansin nyo? Nais kong ipoint out na hindi lang kami ang mag-ex dito.
Hahaha. What a group! 😀
