I did get a small glimpse of the F1 race, though.
A very faraway glimpse from our office in Raffles Place, where I saw the extent of the roads blocked off for this event, and an up-close view in Suntec City, where I got to see them racing by, about five meters away, practicing before the actual race.
They were so fast and so noisy, and I could smell the scent of burnt rubber in the air.
When I got to the gate, though, the crowd was so thick and they were all going against me, I was scared to get trampled upon.
This was probably not a good day to test my newfound shortcut path from the office to the MRT station, which cuts my usual walking time by half.
