Last night I had a long overdue chat with my bestfriend back home. We used to burn the phone lines all the time back when we were still both in hometown. But since I left, this was no longer possible due to expensive long distance rates. That is, until, PLDT saved us and launched the ten peso unlimited promo, which is now no longer a promo but a permanent thing. Yippee! So now Betang only had to spend ten pesos so we can gab for a couple of hours about boys and cats and jobs and other people till our ears hurt.
Another ten peso promo that I took advantage of is Cebu Pacific’s 10 year anniversary giveaway. In a nutshell, CEBU Pacific Air was offering a P10.00 one-way fare (plus taxes) to any of its domestic destinations to celebrate its 10th year in the business from March 3-8. When we found out that a roundtrip ticket to Boracay cost like a third of the normal rate, we decided to go, right then and there. So Chu booked tickets for five of us housemates who were decided on going. Lucky for us we booked on the first day of the promo, because the next day the promo tickets had run out already. Ok, so the date is on July, but at least we got tickets already. This has got to push through. And oh, I also managed to convince three others back home to come with us. Isn’t this exciting?
