Young Yesterday

My mom recently uploaded pictures of her when she was young, BD – Before Dee. And what perfect timing, as I had no ideas for my Y! Thanks Mommy!

The thing is, it’s a bit strange to think of your parents as being young once. I mean yes of course you knew they were, but you only met them when they were already these fully grown people, so that’s how you always think of them. But guess what, Mom was young yesterday! And here is proof.

Uncle Corly, Auntie Betty and Mom

Lolo Jesus, Lola Puring, & Mom

Mom’s high school graduation (why so serious?)

Mommy’s 18th birthday
Look at their hair!

Philippines first won Miss Universe

Mom @ 37 marries Dad @ 28!
They met only 3 months ago. Whirlwind romance!

My dad’s family. Part of them, anyway. Lolo Felix, Lola Noning,
Auntie Esther, Uncle Jonie, and Auntie Puding.

They have their first baby – me!

They have their second baby, Ivan.
I look very suspicious of my baby brother here. LOL.

My college graduation

See something familiar? Lemme help:

Mom and me

De ja vu, isn’t it? 😀

Speaking of deja vu, look at this one:

Before and after

LOL, right?

One last picture:

Dad’s 57th birthday

Can’t wait for my scattered family (Ivan in Abu Dhabi, Dad in Africa, Mom in Philippines, me in Singapore) to be all together again soon!
