Sample Store’s Kabloom Event

Last Saturday, I attended Sample Store’s Kabloom event, an exclusive on-site preview of the new Sample Store.

I got my invite as a beauty panelist in the mail.

Before all else, let me explain what Sample Store is. It’s a website where you can buy samples of products at a fixed fee of S$5.99 for any 4 samples which you get to pick then they send to your mailbox in a cute pouch.

I think it’s great because when you want to buy a new product but not sure if you’ll like it, you can try a sample of it first before splurging on an entire bottle, which can be a real money saver.

But what I like most about it is its seeders program for bloggers. If you’re a blogger, you can apply to be part of it, and once approved, they send you retail-sized products to try out and review on your blog.

Okay, now on to the event. It was held in the really fabulous Fullhouse Signature Cafe in Clarke Quay. I mean, look at how pretty it is!

The event was held in the second floor. When I registered, I was handed a hefty goody bag which contained S$200 worth of product samples.

Also in there was a lucky draw ticket with 17 squares. If you visit the sponsor booths in the vicinity and participate in their activities, you get a stamp in their respective squares. 3 stamps gets you another goodie bag, while 6 gives you a chance to take part in a lucky draw.

My favourite booth was Brands Innershine because of the RubyCollagen Essence, which is collagen which comes in delicious jelly-like form. Yum!

Some of the booths had pretty fun activities, but the queues were long and I had no time to drop by all of them because I had somewhere else to be, so I only got to visit three, which entitled me to another goodie bag, a Sample Store pouch stuffed full of even more sample products.

There was also yummy food, which I gladly dropped in line for. 😛

The first picture in this post was taken from a photo booth. There was also a booth where you can get your instagram pictures printed, and the whole event was being documented by photographers.

I think it was a really fun, well-planned event, and I am so glad I went. I’m just sorry I didn’t go there with a friend or get there earlier so I could have time to do everything. Thank goodness I discovered Sample Store. 🙂
