Domino’s 4 Flavors on 2 Pizzas {Foodee}

Last week I was invited down to Domino’s Kovan branch to try out their 4 flavours on 2 pizzas and double delights.

The event kicked off with a Domino’s personnel talking about their 4 flavours on 2 pizzas deal. She explained that you can mix and match four flavours of your choice for as low as $22 for 2 regular pizzas. Half and half pizzas (2 flavours in one, but only one sauce) normally has a surcharge of $3, but now it’s absolutely free.

This is a great deal for groups of people who have different favourite flavours or can’t decide on which one they can all agree on, or if you just want to try out more than one flavour, because Domino’s has 28. I know… so many! How to decide, right??

Now I had always been a fan of Domino’s pizza, but I didn’t realise they had that many flavours and never knew what was the difference between all their sauces. Well, I was about to find out thanks to an entertaining and educational game that they had for us.

They split us into 6 teams, one for each kind of sauce that they had. There were just 3 or 2 in a team, with my teammate being Tselyn.

The teams were all asked to taste one of the 6 sauces and guess which one it was before getting assigned one. Who knew there were so many sauces to choose from? We were team 6 and ended up with “top secret sauce.” To be honest this was my first time to find out about this particular sauce, which is unlike the typical tomato sauce based pizza sauce. It sounded like something I would really like, actually, why didn’t I know this existed before?

We were then given a list of 5 crusts and asked to choose. We picked cheesy crust, which is one of my favourite crusts (the other one’s cheese burst, in case you wanted to know).

Then we were asked to pick 2 flavours, and decided on classified chicken and alfredo prawn.

I thought we were going to make our own pizza with these ingredients we chose, which would have been fun, but probably too difficult, LOL. Instead we were asked to come up with a story for that pizza, and the winning team would go home with $500 worth of pizza vouchers.

We had 15 or so minutes to come up with a presentation, and we decided that I would tell the story while Tselyn would act it out behind me.

Here was the story:

Once upon a time in the deep blue sea, there was a spy agency who had a secret agent named… James Prawn. 

Meanwhile, on land, in a kampong, was their opposing agency who had a spy named… Chickenita. 

These two opposing agents were assigned to do the same mission which was to find… the top secret sauce!

So these two agents both broke into the same Domino’s facility that housed the top secret sauce. When they saw each other, they fought. They were so different from each other. They could not agree.

But as they fought, they both fell into a cheesy crust and got drenched with the top secret sauce. And that’s when they realised that they both loved it. And when they realised that they could actually be together, they fell in love, and lived happily together ever after.

I think you know who won that contest.

Yeah, we did! $500 in cold hard… vouchers.

But we weren’t the only winners that night because everyone got to sample all these goodies!

We had all sorts of pizzas including half-and-half ones. I even actually got to sample James Prawn and Chickenita prawn alfredo and classified chicken flavours for the first time and they are now my favourites!

We also got to try the double delights or side dishes.

The Napolitana baked meatballs and chicken wings were so yummy, as well as the served-while-hot chocolate lava cake which was oozing with a rich gooey sauce.

Everyone also got to bring home goodie bags with 2 pizza vouchers each and this really cute apron:

And best of all, everyone got to meet everyone else, which I really enjoyed.
