Pokemon Go finally went live in Singapore today, after weeks of waiting, so I quickly downloaded it this morning and told my flatmates about it.
The advantage of having a late launch is that a lot of people from other countries have already figured out its kinks and shared tips online, such as how you can get a Pikachu for your starting pokemon instead of the default three.
So we decided to try doing just that. It wasn’t that easy, though, because how could you resist the cute Charmander?
But we all somehow managed to literally walk away from the three default starter pokemons till they respawned several times and Pikachu popped up eventually.
After that, I was a lookout for pokemons so I could take photos of them in the real world. Below are the funniest ones I had. Most of them were taken by me with the exception of two which are credited to my friends.
I love riding the bus or the MRT and catching wild pokemon at every stop. I also love that we can reach 2 pokestops in our living room. Our area mostly has ratatas and bird-like pokemons.
But when my flatmates Nantoy and Monica went biking in East Coast Park at around 9pm, they were stunned to find it full of people catching Pokemon. 😅
At the end of the day, I caught over 50 pokemons, 28 of them unique, and was at level 7. My highest CP was only 300+ because I’m a lousy player, but I’m not really doing it for the scores, I just want to catch pokemon and take pictures of them!
Do you play Pokemon Go? Do you have any funny pictures to share?

I have it but I barely ever play it because our area is just full of ratites and needles and pidgins and spearows.
Love how it’s got everybody up and outside though! xo

I was totally excited when it was released in my country and this game makes me want to go outside every single day. And it’s kinda fun seeing other people playing this as well as you walk/travel to catch Pokemons. I’ve already collected a lot of Pidgeys, Caterpies, and Weedles. These 3 is the most common ‘mons that I get. I love the pics btw.
