We had a scheduled corporate photo shoot today. Our company has a website where they put up professional photos of all their managers. I should have gotten mine taken last year when I joined but due to the pandemic, they were only able to schedule it now.
The Marketing team had specific guidelines for the dress code so I ended up wearing this:
Those high heeled nude pumps are seriously the most comfortable high heeled shoes I have ever worn, by the way. I just happened to see them in Sogo Causeway Bay, and it was such a coincidence that it was on sale for less than 200 hkd and it was the last pair for this design and it was in my size. Serendipity!
That’s a far cry from my usual fashion, which is more of like this:
I love those Everlane espadrilles, by the way! When they first arrived they were too tight and I thought I wouldn’t be able to wear them, but after wearing it around the house for a day, the supple buttery leather loosened and molded to my fat feet!
Back to today, I also had to wear more makeup than I usually do:
Getting my eyebrows microbladed last year was the best beauty thing I ever did. I normally don’t need to do anything else to it but today I put a bit of Glossier Boy Brow to darken it a bit more.
I also recently had my lashes curled at Browhaus and it just looks way better than if I tried to curl it with a lash curler. I made it look nicer with my HG mascara Heroine Make long and curl super waterproof mascara. It’s the only mascara that doesn’t smudge on me.
Other stuff used: Hourglass mineral veil primer, Estee Lauder double wear foundation in the shade 1W2 sand, Laura Mercier translucent loose setting powder, Benefit hoola bronzer, The Balm Mary Lou manizer highlighter, Tarte shape tape concealer, Natasha Denona mini nude eyeshadows, Mac fix plus setting spray, and Becca ultimate lipstick love in sorbet.
OMG that is a lot of product, isn’t it? How do other women handle putting all these on daily?
