I finally bought a new cellphone, and it was neither one of the phones I was originally torn between. After getting a bigger last paycheck than I expected from KPMG and getting a bigger raise than I expected from my present company, a cellphone upgrade was definitely called for. With my cellphone consultant Chu in tow, I bought a Nokia 6230i in Wellcom, Glorietta 1. Pictures, here we come!
Friday night was a big night for me and my P&G batchmates, as it was celebration time! The occasion? Another double whammy: our second monthsary and Dina’s birthday.
But before that, I met up with my high school barkada Rey in Glorietta so we could have the pictures from our previous escapade developed.
Oh yes…I did not have the time to log that particular event. Rey, Jerome (another high school buddy), Maya & Chu met in Glorietta the previous Sunday in Glorietta. After recovering from the initial shock of discovering how “asenso” my PAL flight steward pal had become, what with a new Samsung cellphone, digital camera and a car, I managed to convince him to treat us all to dinner.
When he discovered I was craving seafood, he drove us over to Market! Market! in the fort. We had a sumptious meal in Marina.
After managing to disentangle myself from the ever so makulit Rey who didn’t want me to leave, I met my batchmates in Jupiter Street before heading to Malate.
We had dinner in Gerry’s then set off to Star Galaxy videoke place for a night of singing. The pay was cheap, the room huge, with three tv’s and free popcorn, pretzels and corn bits. We left at 3am. Kumyoung, guys!
My weekend was spent in startling contrast, though: stuck at home coz of my annoying cough and colds.
Oh well. Despite that, I have to say my answer to Keso’s famous out-of-the-blue question, “Unfair ba ang life?” would be: NO.
I don’t think I’ve ever been more content with my life as I am right now. Thanx, Caloy, for making me realize this.
And oh, one more thing to make life happy right now: Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince is finally out and though I don’t have the expensive hardbound copy, I do have the softcopy (thank you, Rich!) which I will go back to reading right after this post.
Don’t you just love life?
Rich says
<B>F*ckin'</B> half-blood prince! A very mysterious prince. Can’t wait for the finale. 😀
