I met the “ramen girls” for lunch at our favorite ramen place for lunch – Marutama Ra-men. It serves the best-tasting ramen and seasoned egg I have ever had. It was raining – the perfect weather for ramen. It also meant that we had to ride a cab from UE Square to Liang Court even though it was just walking distance because none of us had brought an umbrella.
Ramen girl 1 and her favorite egg. She was the one who introduced us to this place, actually watched the film Ramen Girl and will learn how to cook ramen someday.
Ramen girl 2 always asks the same question in restaurants: “Do you have any chili?” She likes her food spicy. Ramen is no exception.
Ramen girl 3 is the ultimate ramen girl. She usually eats the least food, but not when it comes to this ramen, and only if the ramen is not spicy, please.
Ramen girl 4 suggested the return to the ramen place because she wanted to document it properly. No more too-bright-photos please! And this time she will remember the ramen place’s name.
