Very Inspiring Blogger Award

My new blogger buddy ME (that’s her screen name) who writes Scribblings just gave me an award for Very Inspiring Blogger. Wow. Now I’ve been blogging for eight years but this is the first time I have ever received a blogger award ever, so I’m very touched and flattered and I suddenly want to don a gown and climb the stage (and hopefully not trip on the way up the stairs ala J-Law) and make a speech.

I couldn’t have learned how to write without your love and support. I would also like to thank everyone who came into my life and gave me something to write about, most especially those who hurt me, because the most inspiring stories come from adversity. I wouldn’t be where I am if not for you.”

Okay maybe I got a bit carried away. LOL. I mean I’m sure this is no big deal but it’s still flattering, okay? So super thanks ME! (I mean ME the screen name, not me as in myself, okay?)

7 Things About Myself:

1. 7 is my favorite number! Not because it’s a magical number (according to Lord Voldemort, anyway), but because it’s the date of my birth. So on my blog’s 7th anniv last year, I wrote a blog about my 7 most memorable blogs. 
2. In all these years of blogging, this is my first time to join a blog hop challenge. It’s been a tough 20 days so far, but I’m having fun writing and meeting new blogger buddies, so it’s worth it! 🙂
3. My favorite color is purple and have lots of stuff in that color. Define “lots,” you say? See for yourself on my Panoply of Purple Pinterest board.
4. I’m super scared of heights but I want to try skydiving someday. 
5. I always think of songs appropriate to events that happen in my life, and oftentimes, I sing them too. Out loud. If my life were a movie, I guess it would be a musical. 
6. I am very easily moved to laughter and tears. I’ve been known to cry in public – like a bus – just because I read something touching on a book or a blog or something. And they’re not necessarily all that tearjerking either.
7. I used to hate my name when I was younger. I hated that people never knew how to pronounce it or spell it, and it caused me a lot of problems, the whole sordid story of which is here. I’m fine with it now, though, because DEE can be used in clever ways, like this blog’s name, for example. 🙂
