Last Friday night I left the office with my colleagues Jen and Gracia. While on the bus, we suddenly decided to drop by Tampines mall for a quick dinner.
That was the plan, anyway, but knowing how girls are, we ended up having a lot of detours along the way. Gracia bought pants from a booth, then we ducked into my favorite stationery store, Urban Write, where I took a lot of time deliberating between the big or small Moleskin purple planner. I ended up going with small because it’s a lot handier. Too bad it’s for 2014 so I can’t use it yet!
After all that, I introduced them to one of my favorite food stalls – Chippy British Takeaway. We all ordered my favorite sausage with mashed potatoes, which had been introduced to me by Ngangi years ago. I really REALLY love this dish because the sausage is so springy and juicy, the mashed potatoes are so creamy, and the gravy is so yummy.
And how cute is that packaging?
The above picture is of me from another day.
We decided to take a picture of ourselves with the food and we had such a hard time positioning ourselves such that I ended up with mashed potatoes in my ear and all over my hair. Nobody could figure out how it happened. We spent some time cleaning it off me and laughing about it before finally getting a sort of decent selfie (groupie?) shot.
I think Impromptu dinners are fun, don’t you? I mean yay, my first food fight ever – sort of! 😀 (Not that I condone wasting food like that, I just love new experiences.)

Singapore was actually under British ruling before, I think! They use British English here and Prince William and Kate even visited last year.
