So let’s talk about an incredible phenomenon I just witnessed over the weekend.
The Saturday before the last, I was wandering around Vivo City when I happened to notice this outside Candy Empire:
So I thought, wow, they’re selling Ovomaltine Crunchy Cream here now? So I went inside to take a look.
I was going to buy one but I had way too much stuff so I decided to come back some other time for it when I wasn’t so laden down with stuff.
The next week, I went back to Vivo City to collect my fixed camera and watch Gravity (blogs to follow) when I saw this:
OMG. Seriously, all the jars I saw just last week are gone?? 😮
I went inside to check if maybe they were inside.
Nope.
It’s crazy, man. But it’s true. Here it is again:
I suppose I can’t blame the people for going nuts over it. I’ve tried it before.
I had bought Ovomaltine at the same time as the Lotus Speculoos Cookie Butter, buying them all from a store called German Marketplace somewhere near Botanic Gardens MRT.
It tastes like Ovaltine drink in spread form with crunchy chocolatey bits – heaven in a jar. I brought my friend Ngangi a jar of it the last time I went back to the Philippines and she loved it so much that she finished a quarter of the jar in one night.
That was the last time I bought it because it’s too far away from me. Too bad I wasn’t able to buy again this time but I guess it’s a blessing in disguise because I wouldn’t be able to resist it and probably eat everything in one sitting.

Kind of, but without the hazelnut taste and with crunchy chocolate bits. 🙂

Uhhh ok wow. That looks amazing and previously I have always avoided it, expecting it was like Marmite or something similar. Good lord, I need to gain access to a tub of this ASAP!!
Online local businesses here are selling this, among other things like Reese's peanut butter and Lotus speculoos. I'm partial to Milo so I'm not sure if I'm willing to dole out cash for this. haha!
I've heard about Marmite and I hear it tastes nasty. So it's not like this, definitely.
I love Milo too but I still loved this! I love Speculoos and I've seen ads for the Reese's peanut butter too, I wanna try it coz I'm a huge Reeses fan!

In Indonesia the price reducing very fast, from $ 6.5 to $ 5 from about less than 2 months. We got that stuff in online store with expiry date around August to December 2015
