Yesterday we were asked to wear red or white to work in honour of Singapore’s National Day which falls today.
The birthday sign is not in our office, by the way, but in Esplanade mall. I took a picture of it when I went to watch a play there last Saturday. Three of us are wearing our friendship shirts. You can read all about it and take a closer look at it here.
When I jokingly said “Stand up for Singapore!” to a colleague, I found out that it was actually a song that they had to sing every National Day, and that he had to sing it for 10 years. He refused to sing it when I asked him to, though.
Today I found this list of 12 mind-blowing Singapore facts. I find #9 to be very interesting. It says that Singaporeans are the fastest walkers on the planet. I can vouch for how fast they are, that’s why I’ve adapted their pace and whenever I go home to the Philippines, people complain that I walk too fast. Almost 6 years of living here will do that to you, eh?

I want to hug the cola machine, drink giant Yakult and then I'll be able to walk faster, I'm sure of it!

Hahaha! I haven't been to the hug cola machine yet, but I drink Yakult a lot. Have you ever tried Yakult? Do they also have them in UK?
