We had a team outing over the weekend. We decided on a trip to Universal Studios prefaced by lunch at a place called The King Louis, which my team mates chose because of the temptingly tantalising pictures of food on their website. Food which we ourselves saw when we went there, like these:
Salivating sight, right?
It was disappointingly not that delicious, though. I mean it wasn’t terrible, it just didn’t taste as good as it looked. The steaks were overcooked, and most of the meat and fish lacked flavour. The only dish that didn’t disappoint was the cheesy prawns. And my huge mug of coke float.
We were just happy to have a filling meal, and feast like royalty on these banquets, in a place that looked really luxurious, like the inside of a castle, because of its medieval theme.
I mean, where else could you do that? I seriously can’t think of anywhere else.
Also, the place is spacious and not packed, probably because it was lunch time. We didn’t even need to make the reservation that we made.
So perhaps it’s just the right place for a big group of people to dine in.
