After checking in at the hotel, I met up with my friend Flisha. We went to Greenbelt 5 where she suggested Dulcinea spanish food for our late lunch.
I fell in love with the purply-pink couch because of its color and because it looks cozy. I’m sure it’s meant to be a love seat for couples, but doubles well as a a “catch up couch.” Haha!
I thought I was not that hungry after spending the previous day overeating and having rice for breakfast, so we decided to order a rice meal and a side dish for sharing.
We ordered their bestseller, the salpicao, and a side order of gambas. The gambas dish was surprisingly very tiny. But both were so yummy and they smelled so good that when they were laid out in front of me it made me hungry! So I wolfed down more than half of my share, I think. Oops sorry Fli. :-/
We also ordered a tall glass of mango shake each and it really hit the spot.
I had a really great time catching up with Flisha. We talked about our own lives and gossiped about common friends, LOL.
She also sheepishly confessed that she had bought me a Christmas present but forgot it in her boyfriend Gim’s car. I said it was fine.
But then after we parted for a while so I could get a diamond peel and my lashes permed while she got a mani-pedi, she gave me a pretty polka dotted Mango scarf. “Because I know how much you love scarves!”
I was pleased but concerned how she got it, wondering if she had somehow located her boyfriend. “No, I bought the exact same one again. So it was good that we were separated for a while,” she said.
“But what about the other one?” I asked.
“Then I’ll use it. We’ll be twinsies!”
She really shouldn’t have. I’m so touched! Also so glad we met up. Till next time, Fli! 🙂
