So my friend Chi had a brilliant idea for a Christmas gift – homemade chocolate chip cookies or crinkes in mason jars.
Isn’t it super cute?
She made them herself. Only the cookies, obviously. I’m sure it’s hard to form glass.
I was supposed to help but I fell asleep instead. Oops. Sorry!
All I did was try some of the batter. It was sooo delicious! It tasted like Ben and Jerry’s ice cream!
I did help out in tying the ribbons on the jars though.
I’ve been wanting to buy a mason jar for a long time now but didn’t know whwre to get them. The one I found in Singapore was so expensive, at more than $20 for a box of 2. Chi’s jars cost only 99 pesos at Robinson’s.
So when she said she’ll give me one, I happily suggested she give me the sample one she made for us to try out instead, coz mason jars are so much better when they have cookies inside. And Chi’s cookies taste great. She is thinking of creating a business and calling it Monkeydough.
I was so happy to finally get to see Chi’s newly bought house in person. She had it renovated and it turned out so well. It’s so beautiful! And so was this sunset, which happened at around 5pm. I’m not used to early sunsets anymore.
Before that, we ate Jollibee chicken joy with spaghetti which we bought from a drive through. We ate it on the balcony.
I told her I did not want to eat dinner anymore, but she still ordered a lot of food from Ineng’s later. OMG. Even though Ngangi and Melvin came too, we could not possibly finish all these!
After that I said that I never want to eat again ever.
What if I don’t fit in my bridesmaid dress??
Oh yeah, did I ever mention the reason why I’m in the Philippines for the holidays? It’s for my brother’s wedding.
My YOUNGER brother.
Bracing myself for questions about when it’s my turn.
Ending this blog post with a pic of me and Ngangi with the Christmas tree in the living room.
It’s better than a picture of Ngangi or me in a wheelchair we found on the balcony.
