My friend Gay was arriving in my hometown on my last night there, so we decided to book rooms in City Inn Hotel for the night so we could just stay up late talking and I would not have to worry about how to get home after.
When I arrived, I was impressed with the lobby. Or maybe I’m just biased because of the purple motif. See how my luggage blends perfectly with the furniture.
This hotel is quite new and cheap, with the cheapest room costing only P995 for two people.
There was a small bathroom with a shower with heater and small soaps and shampoos. Don’t expect a bathtub.
The best thing was that they had wifi not just in the lobby but in the rooms as well, unlike other more expensive hotels.
Maya and I got the best massages in town at a massage parlor at another place then walked around Mindpro mall for a while before heading back to the hotel where we ordered room service food for dinner. Maya had also brought home cooked dinuguan for me because she knows it’s my fave.
Their food was good and reasonably priced. We did not expect the sweet and sour lapu-lapu to be that big! It managed to feed 4 people.
Gay and Leo eventually landed and checked into another room before popping into ours. We spent the night eating, talking, watching TV, and taking pictures.
The highlight was Gay’s story of how they were supposed to be charged for 11 kilos of excess baggage at the airport but she talked very fast and asked for her checked in baggage to be pulled out which confused the guy, so in the end he just let them go without paying. Good job, Gay!
We called it a night when Maya noticed Leo nodding off, which was fine by me because I had an early flight the next day. I had to leave before they served breakfast at 7am, so I don’t know if that’s any good.
I had a good stay and would recommend the place if you want an affordable hotel.
