Whenever I’m in the Philippines, I always make it a point to get a manicure and pedicure because they cost a LOT cheaper here than in Singapore. How cheap? Well the cost of a full spa pedicure spa costs less than one third the cost of a basic one in Singapore.
So when I told my friends that my feet were super gross and badly in need of a pedintervention (get it?), they drove me to one of their favourite nail places, The Nail Room.
The place was really cozy, with comfortable chairs.
Here is their “menu” (the actual word for this escapes me at the moment):
I decided to get the spa manicure and spa pedicure. Two ladies worked on my hands and feet simultaneously, so my time was not wasted.
The services I chose involved sloughing off dead skin cells from my hands, arms, feet and legs, and coating them in moisturizing cream. They even slathered minty mud-like substance on my legs. It felt so cool.
They also had a plethora of nail polish colours to choose from, with mostly Opi and Orly brands, both very reputable and long lasting. They even have Chanel, but you have to top up 100 pesos for it. (Oops I just realized that “top up” is not a Filipino term.)
I chose to go with an Opi hot pink shade and Opi silver (Baby please come home shade) for my ring fingernails to make them stand out, aka statement nails.
I love the final outcome! I was a very happy customer. Thanks, Ngangi and Chi, for bringing me here! 🙂
