My friend Kes is in Singapore for a vacation with a friend, so Gelle and I met up with her for dinner last night. I suggested going to the ramen place that my teammate Guohao always brings our foreigner guests to – Ramen Keisuke Tonkotsu King Four Seasons at Bugis.
I know, what a long name!
The last time I was there with my team and our Aussie guest, there was a queue and they wouldn’t seat you until your party is complete.
But this time around there was no queue, probably because we arrived pretty late, at past 8pm.
The place looks very Japanese, no? 🎎
Here comes the tough part – choosing a ramen! 🍜
They named their flavours after the four seasons – spring, summer, autumn, winter.
Spring 🌷 has basil and cheese, which sounds like a weird combination. I would have tried it for the cheese, but not for the basil.
Summer 🌞 has minced spicy pork, which is good for people who love spicy food.
Autumn 🍂 is minced pork with bonitos flavor and fried minced mushroom. What is bonitos, I wonder? I don’t know because I’ve never had it.
Winter ❄️ is pork broth ramen, the most normal sounding of them all, hence the reason why I always order it.
But they also have one called king 👑 which is made of stir fried pork with ginger on top.
One of these days I might find the courage to try the other seasons, but for now I ordered winter again, and so did my friends. I decided to get the special toppings this time, though, because last time I only got the flavored egg. We checked off our personalized orders on “make your own ramen” order forms.
I checked all the “normal” boxes so I would get the most authentic Japanese taste possible.
We also ordered the recommended green tea cola, and it tasted really good!
While waiting for our orders to arrive, we ground sesame seeds using a cute mortar and pestle.
Each table also comes with a bowl of boiled eggs and a jar of bean sprouts which you can eat while waiting for your order.
We did not have to wait long, though.
Their ramen is really delicious! I highly recommend it.
Halfway through slurping down my meal, I noticed that my bowl had a snowflake pattern on it and realized that they have different kinds of bowls for the different kinds of ramen. How cute!
I really enjoyed catching up with two of my closest and oldest friends! 😍

That looks SO good.
I don’t think you can really beat a bowl of ramen for dinner – it’s such a versatile dish! xo
