Last night I decided to take myself out to dinner at CCP’s Wrap & Roll, because my Entertainer app had vouchers for one-for-one mains.
When I arrived, I asked the waitress if I could use my entertainer app there and on what. I always ask this before each time I use the app to make sure that it’s valid. She said yes and pointed out that I could use it on all labeled M.
So I said, “Okay, table for one, please.” She ushered me into a table.
I ordered this noodle dish.
And this other one.
I didn’t really intend to eat them all, but just takeaway what I could’t finish.
Then when it was time to pay, I presented my app and the waitress cum cashier frowned at me and said, “That is only valid for 2 persons.”
What really pissed me off was the way she said it. Not even a smile or sorry! She needs to take lessons in customer service. 😡
So I got annoyed and said, “But I ordered for TWO.”
“Doesn’t matter,” she shrugged. “Those are the rules.”
“But I asked before coming in if I could use the app! You should have told me about this before seating me.”
She wouldn’t relent. So I just paid. Whatever, lady. 😡
But I was still fuming at how I had been misled into spending twice what I expected. I honestly would never even have set foot in their restaurant with so-so food, let alone buy two meals, if not for Entertainer.
So I opened Facebook & shot their page a message to complain.
I have to say kudos to their social media manager for handling my complaint quickly and professionally. Now he/she clearly had customer service skills, unlike that waitress!
She asked for my number and said she’ll get the manager to apologize to me.
The next day, this happened:
Erm… was I too unreasonable?
I just felt really slighted and I know I’m not the only person who has ever blacklisted a restaurant for giving them a bad experience, and my list is not that long. I really am not that difficult when it comes to food, and I can prove it by showing all my food blogs. Most of them have glowing reviews.
After sending that I expected it to be the end of that chapter, hence the “have a nice day.”
But then I got this response back.
Well that was nice of her.
I have to say they handled it really well, unlike the other two restaurants on my black list.
So I guess this one’s coming off as well.
