My teammates decided to have really good prawn mee for lunch, so Nic drove us all the way to Arab Street to get it.
I love Arab Street’s vibrant “graffiti” walls! Always so picture-worthy. 😊
The name of the place is Blanco Court Prawn Mee and it’s right beside the road and the graffitied alley.
It’s a really simple food court style place.
This is their menu.
I asked YM to get me whatever he thinks is good, because he’s the subject matter expert. He got me the classic one.
Evelyn got one with jumbo prawns. They don’t really seem a lot bigger than the ordinary ones though.
Nic had the dry version, with the soup on the side.
Once you’ve finished the soup you can ask for a refill, like bak kut teh. The soup tastes good, with a really prawny taste, but I prefer bak kut teh.
In terms of noodle dishes, I prefer hokkien mee, which is also a prawn noodle dish. But at least I got to try this!
We also got this for sharing. I’m not sure what it is, but it’s kind of like rojak, or a salad, but with fried stuff.
It was a really interesting lunch adventure.
