A few days ago, my friend Arlyn just arrived back from her Manila business trip and asked if I wanted to have coffee.
I suggested having dinner instead, at Tampines, because there are so many options there and a lot of shops where we could browse afterwards, too, like H&M and Sephora.
I had nitro frozen freshly made coconut ice cream while waiting for her, then we had dinner at Sushi Express and gobbled down a total of 12 plates and only paid $21 for it. ๐
We then went to H&M to look for a dress I could use for our 1920s themed yearend D&D but I didn’t find anything I liked.
Then we went to Dorothy Perkins and they had a lot of fancy dresses on sale, so I tried on a few. I ended up buying this dress but in a different color. Arlyn bought this dress but in a different size. Haha!
Then we walked into Typo and admired all these pretty things.
How funny is that one with the bra quote? ๐
Arlyn ended up buying a pretty iphone case (not pictured) while I bought a sparkly weekly planner and a notebook.
Then went to #Daiso and I finally bought the #Christmas tree I wanted to buy last time. Arlyn ended up buying one too. I let her have the last available fully assembled one worth 2 items, while I bought the tree and its decors and assembled it at home.
I have now placed it on our kitchen/living room counter.
That Christmas tree is still bigger compared to the one we had 2 years ago. ๐
It’s so small, isn’t it? ๐
We also bought Christmas wreaths. I put mine on our bedroom light switch.
After that we had some drinks at Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, amazed at how much shopping we had done. ๐
Today, Arlyn told me that she was on her way to fetch her brother Armar from the airport. My office is just one MRT station away, so I decided to go with her so I could surprise him.
In the past, he had surprised me by showing up unannounced to my meet-ups with Arlyn. So I decided that now was the perfect time for “revenge.”
The look of surprise on his face was priceless. ๐
We had dinner at Pastamania.
We each chose a different flavour of this drink.
We all tried each other’s drinks and declared that while they were all good, we still preferred the one we actually ordered for ourselves. Good job, us!
Then A&A had pasta and baked rice.
While I had my fave dish at this place – pepperoni pizza.
I probably shouldn’t have ordered it coz isn’t pepperoni processed meat and cancerous according to WHO?
But Armar’s surprises were not over. When he got home, he had another one – the Christmas tree that Arlyn had bought in Daiso.
Today has been a surprise-filled day for him. ๐
