My friend Cate and her boyfriend Glenn visited Singapore last month, so we met up with them for a reunion. It’s always wonderful to be reunited with friends!
Prive Orchard
We had lunch at Prive Orchard in Wheelock.
The cafe is so cute because the outer tables face outside so that you can people-watch, patterned after cafes in Paris.
I ordered the salmon which was really good! I was also so happy that they had iced soy latte on their menu. See, I’m on the keto diet lately and milk has a lot of carbs so I try to avoid it if possible.
It also happened to be Brian’s birthday, so we celebrated it with a cake (which I did not eat, much to everyone’s shock).
His wife Elma brought her own cake and the nice thing was not only did the restaurant allow this and even hid the cake and served it at the right time, but they also gave Brian a signed birthday card with a polaroid photo of us along with a serving of their own cake. So nice, right?
After lunch, we walked around Orchard for a bit, then we said our goodbyes to the families with kids then I went with Cate and Glenn to Changi Airport.
Changi Wizarding World
You can always count on Changi Airport, world’s number 1 airport for years running, to be dressed up, and it did not disappoint.
That weekend was even more special because it was the launch of the Changi Wizarding World. So even though their flight was leaving from terminal 2, after they checked in, we took the train to terminal 3 just so we could take pictures, of course!
Apparently there were more nooks and crannies that we missed. You can check out other people’s photos on Instagram through the hashtag #ChangiWizardingWorld. They are there until Jan 6, 2019, so if you’re a Potterhead, head over there before it’s gone!
A few weeks after this, Glenn proposed to Cate! She asked me to be her bridesmaid, so it looks like I’ll be back in Sydney for another reunion next year!
