Happy New Year, guys!!!!
I thought I should start the year right by exercising blogging. Let me tell you about my day yesterday.
I started the day with a facial at Bio Aesthetic Laser Clinic. I actually discovered them from Partipost, this app that allows you to sign up for Instagram campaigns which can get you paid if approved. Check it out, just search for it at the app store.
The catch is that you actually need to buy something first, so in this case it was the facial that I needed to post about. However, you pay for a discounted amount, which I thought was pretty reasonable and I really wanted a facial, so that’s how I ended up at the place.
I don’t know if I will get approved, but if I do, then you’ll see it on my Instagram feed soon! By the way, if you aren’t already, please follow me on Instagram, okay? I will follow you back because it is my 2019 goal to make more Instagram friends. Say hi on the comments or stories, I will chat you up.
After the facial, which was in a convenient Orchard location, I headed to Fareast Plaza to collect a necklace that I had pre-ordered some weeks ago. My fave plus size boutique, The Curve Cult, happened to have a 15% sale off storewide, so I had to drop by, too, and I bought the green wrap top that I have had my eye on for a while. I’ll post pics of them when I’m ready to wear them!
I also had a huge compulsion to get a haircut, so I found a salon called Hair Factor Studio on the second floor and scheduled an appointment for 30 minutes later since they were still so busy. While waiting, I had some grilled chicken at KFC. I really loved their grilled chicken, actually!
When time was up, I headed to the salon and asked for a fringe and trimmed ends. My hairdresser Jennifer asked if I wanted to get a hair ampoule and I am so glad I said yes because wow – it made my hair super duper soft!
Here’s what my hair looks like now!
I quickly headed to Lucky Plaza to buy a couple of pork rind packs (I have very limited snacks that I can eat on keto diet, so I need to stock up whenever I’m in Orchard), then got on the bus home to get changed for the New Year’s Eve party.
Arlyn and I headed to her husband’s friend’s condo for said party. Her husband is French, so almost all the guests were French, too. There were lots of food and champagne.
One of the women made these yummy merengues with cream and mango on top. They were so delicious! I had one, oops.
At midnight, everyone went around kissing everyone else on both cheeks as a New Year’s greeting. Definitely not what Filipinos do, for sure!
After that, Arlyn and I went home via Grab. Here’s the thing – Gojek is great, except at night. Apparently drivers aren’t paid differently on odd hours, unlike Grab, so they don’t have an incentive to be out.
And that was it! Happy new year again!
