My boss Evelyn was in Hong Kong for vacation, so we met up.
Rainbow Seafood Restaurant
Evelyn chose the restaurant where we would meet for late lunch, which is a popular seafood restaurant in Lamma Island called Rainbow Seafood Restaurant. We rode a ferry from Central to get there.
Evelyn really loves her seafood, and she told me that mantis shrimp is not available in Singapore or many other countries, so it should be tried in Hong Kong. I had actually never tried it before, so I was glad to try it. We got the giant one which is called squilla. It tastes like a cross between lobster and shrimp and is yummy with garlic.
We also had flower crab and mussels.
Aqua @ Tsim Sha Tsui
I booked dinner at Aqua restaurant because I heard it has a fabulous view and boy did it have one! Definitely highly recommend!
The Office and Lan Fong Yuen
On Evelyn’s last day in Hong Kong, we went to our office so she could see the fabulous view from up there.
Then we tried a cha chaan teng and queued at the famous Lan Fong Yuen, which is known for its silk stocking milk tea. I did like the tea, but the food was not really that remarkable.
