All those months of being outdated have finally ended! We finally bought a television set today. It’s a flat-screen (only the screen, not the entire thing) 21″ TCL. And it came with a free TV stand. Yey!
When we asked about delivery, however, we were told it would be delivered on Monday. What? We can’t wait anymore! We’ve had enough of waiting! So we decided we’d deliver it ourselves.
The huge box went into the front seat of the taxi while Nald, Jun and I sat at the back, with Jun supporting the box.
And when we got to the street next to ours (coz our street is being excavated as of yet), the boys carried the tv while I carried the tv rack (in their respective boxes). I could hear the neighbors whispering about our new TV. Mind your own business, people!
When we got home, Maya (who couldn’t go to SM with us because she was sick, the poor dear) helped us figure out where to place the TV in our rather small living room. After rearranging the couches (which entailed some overdue cleanup as well), we managed to find the perfect spot for it. In its position, you could watch TV even if you’re eating in the dining room, which is good, because we wouldn’t all fit on the couches anyway.
Then we set up the TV, and agh! The indoor antenna has poor reception! Sure, it could catch ABS-CBN, GMA and Studio 23, but it looks bad.
We need Cable ASAP. And not just any cable. It has to have HBO, Mix, AXN and Star World, to name a few channels.
In the meantime…I guess bad tv is better than no tv at all.
