Sai Kung

November 7, 2023 by Dee Leave a Comment

Over the weekend, my friends and I had a yummy lunch at Michelin-starred restaurant Loaf On in Sai Kung. We had a bit of trouble looking for the restaurant for some reason. All the food we ordered was yummy and fresh. Our favourite was the breaded oysters. After that, we walked around and enjoyed the […]

Halloween Junk Boat Party

October 30, 2023 by Dee Leave a Comment

At the last minute, I decided to join a Halloween-themed junk boat party in Sai Kung, dressed in my usual costume – The Devil Wears Prada. It was really fun! I’m glad I caught one last junk boat party this year before it became too cold for one. They really are my most favourite things […]

Ten Thousand Buddhas Monastery

October 24, 2023 by Dee Leave a Comment

I climbed the Ten Thousand Buddhas monastery at Sha Tin with Mindy, my former Singapore colleague who was in Hong Kong for vacation. It was the perfect weather for this adventure – 21 degrees. Don’t try this during Hong Kong summer heat & humidity!

Single Duck by Florentijn Hofman

June 14, 2023 by Dee Leave a Comment

My friend Merla and I had lunch at Ask for Alonzo, watched Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse at the cinema, and then headed to Tamar Park (near Admiralty Station exit A) to catch a glimpse of the famous Double Ducks by Florentijn Hofman in the harbour. Unfortunately one was deflated due to the heat. 😅

GGI Picnic @ Ma Wan Tung Wan Beach

April 19, 2023 by Dee Leave a Comment

My first event as an official Girl Gone International host was a picnic at Ma Wan Tung Wan Beach, which is a great beach with a fab view of a bridge – it’s giving San Francisco, as Gen Z would put it. I have wanted to go there since I saw May post about going there. […]

Christmas @ Disneyland Hong Kong

December 14, 2022 by Dee Leave a Comment

I headed to Disneyland with some GGI ladies and it was so lovely to see it decked up in Christmas decorations, including fake snow. I don’t really like rides, so I mostly just watched shows. I did not expect to be hit by so much nostalgia when I heard Disney songs from movies of my […]

Sailor-Themed Junk Boat Party

October 9, 2022 by Dee Leave a Comment

Junk boat parties – this is my number one most favorite part about being in Hong Kong. Unfortunately none of my few friends here are into that because not everyone loves the sea as much as I do, so I had to find my own way to get into one. Luckily, it is super easy […]

Tai Tong Sweet Gum Woods

December 20, 2021 by Dee Leave a Comment

My friend May suggested we go to Tai Tong Sweet Gum Woods, which is known for its colorful leaves in autumn. So off we went on the 19th of December with Mico, Neil, King and Beulah. I made the mistake of not researching beforehand, and thought it would be easy to get to, so I […]
