Adette and Cezanne, former officemates in P&G, had their market visit in Singapore this week so we arranged to meet up for dinner. Since they wanted to buy pasalubong, they decided to go to Suntec City Mall, where my office is located (yeah, my office is inside a mall. Talk about tempting.). I led them to Carrefour Supermarket where Zan bought loads of Merlion-shaped chocolates. Then we dropped by the Royce chocolate shop before looking for a place that serves chili crab, which Adette was craving. We eventually found one near the fountain of wealth, and we had a sumptuous chinese dinner (after Adette ordered crab and I ordered broccoli, Zan was in charge of ordering the rest). Then we caught the last part of the fountain of wealth light show, where messages flashed through laser lights above the fountain. Then Adette & I had to have our sweet teeth (?) placated with Ben & Jerry’s ice cream. We had a lot of fun chatting about all sorts of things. This is actually the first time I’ve had lengthy conversations with these two and I’m happy to get to know them better. We eventually had to end the night, and they discovered how hard it is to find cabs here.
Funny, though, that while walking from the red to the purple line MRT, I ran into another former officemate, Nathan. This was definitely P&G reunion night. 🙂
