The party was a success, if I do say so myself. Everyone came in the prescribed attire – white tops and blue jeans, except for the birthday girl who wore a dress, which she rarely ever does. It looked great, and so did her hair and makeup, which Ogie, Betchie and I collaborated on. Yves had reserved the function hall in her condo and decorated it with white tablecloths, a “red carpet” and white lanterns shipped from China. Most of the food was cooked by her and her friends and tasted really good. She had also ordered an entire lechon baboy (roast pig) from Mang Kiko’s. Yumyumyum! Her giveaways were creative – she served home made chocolate mousse with strawberries on flute glasses and we could take the glasses home with us.
Yves’s XXX: A Limited Engagement
Yves turned thirty today, and she threw a celebration at her condo’s function hall. Aside from being her makeup artist, I was also in charge of the program, making the audio-visual presentations, and being one of two hosts.
I made two videos using iMovie. The first one is a compilation of pictures from Yves’s childhood till her recent pictorial. The second one is composed solely of all her pictorial’s shots. Everyone loved the third portion of the first video. Watch them below.

Yves ends up inviting three of my friends
The program that my co-host Junjun and I planned did not go according to plan, but it was fine just the same. We were able to play a couple of games – hep-hep hurray and human bingo. We surprised Yves with a birthday cake that had thirty candles. We asked guests to present their $5 gifts to Yves and explain why it represents her. Then Yves opened her real gifts and gave a speech. This guy Mike, who has a really great voice, sang a song on the magic sing. Then we asked Gelle to sing too, and she sang Yves’s favorite song, “Saving All My Love for You.” Then we had a group picture and helped clean up the place before leaving.
