Watch the funny videos we made for them below.
For Tyne’s, we actually used our own voices. First we recorded our voices singing our revised version of Shayne Ward’s “That’s Our Goal” then we mounted my camera on one of the pipes near the ceiling (thanks to my wonderful spider tripod, my best investment ever) and got a long shot of us dancing and lip-synching to our own recording. Then I imported everything to iMovie, detached the audio of the first recording, then overlapped it with the second video. Then I cut up the video into several parts and edited the Ken Burns to make the footage zoom in, out, sideways, etc. It’s so fun to play around with iMovie and discover things by experimentation.
Ervyn’s video was simpler to do. I got the idea of using my favorite TV show Glee’s song “Jump” as the background song for all of Ervyn’s jump shots, which he has a lot of. We shot some videos of us singing and jumping in the couple of hours he was gone for mass and I quickly put this video together using iMovie in between cooking spaghetti and getting dressed for that night’s Christmas party. He was quite surprised when we unveiled it after Tyne’s video.
