“Hey look, the new Friendster looks nice,” Ervyn announced to me and Cate earlier tonight, angling his laptop screen towards us so we could see.
“Yeah I saw it some time ago. It does look prettier,” I agreed.
“Not impressed!” Cate replied, making a face.
I have to agree with Cate though. Sure it has a better layout and it’s more like Facebook now in the sense that you can post shoutouts (equivalent of statuses) and it will show up in your friends’ timelines and stuff, but Facebook is still more user-friendly and interactive. Just now, I tried it out and posted a YouTube link on my shoutout and it wouldn’t even embed. Where’s the fun in that?
Besides, Friendster has become the ultimate sign of being “jologs” or uncool. When a new acquaintance says, “Add me on Friendster,” I immediately judge him.
