PS Cafe @ Dempsey Hill

Tucked away in an idyllic yet hard-to-find place near Dempsey Hill is a wonderful glass house called PS Cafe which serves full day brunches during the weekends. Somehow Ngangi discovered it, and that’s where we celebrated her birthday.

By hard-to-find, I meant my cab had to circle the place several times before we found it, and Gelle’s cab driver actually let her out in the middle of Dempsey Hill and refused to search for it. The commute was worth it, though. Cheerful flowers and quaint sugar cubes decorated the tables, and the overall atmosphere made us feel like we were in Tagaytay, Philippines.

Also, the food was delicious with authentic western taste. They all each had the big bacon breakfast while I had the chicken parmigiano (grilled chicken breast doused in tomato sauce and cheese).

For dessert, we had coffee and fudge brownie which was served with a slathering of chocolate sauce and a scoop of vanilla ice cream on the side. The brownie was deliciously unique in that it had different textures – some parts plain brownie, moist fudge and soft marshmallow, all parts wonderful.

To add to the pleasure of the experience, the birthday girl loved our gifts and the scrapbook we put together for her. 🙂
