The Elves’ Christmas Party

It was Farrah’s brainchild to have a Christmas party for us dwarfs, just a potluck lunch. So we decided to have it on Ivy’s first day back from vacation, which is today. I told everyone to wear something red or green, like I do at most Christmas parties I happen to be the organizer of. Everyone complied in the spirit of Christmas. Hohoho! We each brought some food for sharing; I bought a honey-cured ham and cooked my favorite side dish – buttered garlic mushrooms. I also accompanied Farrah in going to Plaza 8 where she bought a pecan pie from Cedele. On the way back, I found some folks selling eggnog and I got curious and bought a cup. It tasted just like chocolate milk. Are you kidding me?

It turned out to be a really fun event. And oh, we call ourselves Snow White’s dwarfs, don’t ask why, it’s a rather long inside joke. But since it’s Christmas, we should call ourselves elves, at least for this season. Hoho! I’m so happy these gals were my batchmates. They’re like my pustiso (false teeth) – I can’t smile without them. That’s part of a song, by the way, which is just another one of our long long list of inside jokes. Once again, let me say: I am so happy to have met them. Merry Christmas to me! ^__^
