Ervyn’s grandmother, mother and sister are in Singapore for a vacation. On their last night here (tonight), they decided to have a cookout and invited our common friends for a feast. I’m glad we had a light workload today and I got to home early, as opposed to last night when I left the office at midnight already – by then I had turned back into a pumpkin.

The funny thing is I spent most of the night chatting with Rodel and Monet whom I already see everyday in the office. But as Monet explained to Anne, she and I (and Tyne and I too) don’t have time for chit-chat even though we’re just meters away from each other, since we’re so busy.
Ervyn’s relatives were shocked when they heard this. Not so do people in our hometown operate. Filipinos always find time to talk.
Rodel and I are both glad that we’re seated facing each other because otherwise, he said, we wouldn’t get to talk either. As it is, we’re always cracking jokes while simultaneously doing our respective recons.
“We talk so much that I wonder, do people who don’t know us think I’m flirting with Rodel?” I mused.
In the office, if a guy constantly talks to a girl, people start buzzing that he likes her. Not everyone knows that I’ve known Rodel for 11 years so who knows what people see when they see us that close?
“Maybe they’re thinking, poor Monet, some girl is trying to steal her man right under her nose,” I surmised.
“Or maybe they’re thinking, poor girl, she’s flirting so hard but Rodel is so loyal to Monet,” Cate laughingly contributed.
“My reputation!!” I say in mock aghast.
In addition to all that, I just couldn’t resist cam-whoring in my outfit today. Yes I wore those boots again. XD
