It was a fun halloween at the office, a nice respite during monthend madness. A decorations contest was held and here is what we came up with in our department (and so very last minute). We were supposed to come up with a Mafia theme, hence the posters. It got all mixed up with other scary Halloween things though, and we got too busy to dress up. Oh well.
The suitcase thing was Joseph’s clever idea |

Here is a look at what other departments came up with:

They also gave out Bingo cards to everyone and someone emailed out a number every few minutes. I didn’t win, but Jemma was the first winner. Our team leader Melcus followed suit. There were 15 winners of S$20 vouchers.
At 5pm we gathered in the pantry for food, monthly birthday cakes, and announcement of the halloween contests’ winners. I’m not really sure who won the decorations contest…err. But our HR head Nic won best costume. She moved too fast so I wasn’t able to get a picture of her in her pirate costume. The FTB guys won best-dressed team.

There was so much food – Sakae sushi, assorted pastries, Haagen Dazs ice cream (the Belgium chocolate flavor was uber yum!), and loads of birthday cake. Too bad I couldn’t stay longer to eat as my fund updates were not yet done by then and I had to nip back to my desk. Well at least I had a break!
This month’s birthday cakes look better than last month’s |
