After watching the movie Oz the Great and Powerful and wandering around Plaza Singapura’s new wing, my friends and I decided to have dinner. Tyne really wanted to try Strictly Pancakes, which is a bit of a walking distance away from Plaza Singapura at Prinsep Place, so off we went. Unfortunately there was a ridiculously long queue over there, so we decided to go to TCC instead. It was a serendipitous choice because it turned out to be a really cozy hangout where we could enjoy the food and idle chatter without being pressured to eat quickly and leave because we had to make room for new customers. And who wouldn’t want to stay long at a place so cute and cozy like this?

We have all been to other TCC branches, but we thought that this was the cutest one we have seen. The bean bag chairs are so cozy!

We all ordered different dishes so I got to try a lot of food on their menu. I think they all tasted good, actually. I was very happy with my order, the baked chicken thigh, so much so that I finished everything on my plate. Yum yum! Gelle wasn’t too happy with her fish order, especially the strange yuzu sauce it came with. Cate didn’t like the calamari’s lemon dip but I like sour food so I did. And Tyne was right about the salad – it’s delicious.
Calamari Rings Classic, chewy and crunchy! |
Baby Crayfish Salad Baby romaine lettuce tossed with homemade wafu dressing, topped with baby crayfish mayo, avocado and crunchy tobiko. This crowd-pleaser is drizzled with a tantalising chilli mayo. |
Penne Mama Mia Penne and chicken chunks baked with homemade cheese sauce and generously sprinkled with mozzarella cheese and gratinated till golden brown. |
Baked Chicken Thigh w/ Wholegrain Mustard Sauce Juicy chicken thigh oven-baked to a succulent tender with a sweetly fragrant wholegrain mustard sauce served with a side of garden accompaniment. |
Oven-roasted White Fish w/ Yuzu Sauce Oven-roasted to perfection, enrich your palate with delicate white fish paired with ravishing yuzu sauce in an elegant taste affair. |
After we had finished our meals, we didn’t want to leave yet because we were having so much fun talking, so three of us ordered this delicious calorie bomb of a drink which the waiter said was their bestseller. Chocolate bliss!
Chocolate of Wealth Have a sip of this velvety rich chocolate frappé brimming with crunchy chocolate chips. Sinful but oh-so-good! |
It was a perfect way to spend a Saturday night. 🙂
