Tangle Teezer Detangling Hairbrush

I have heard a lot of raves about the Tangle Teezer original detangling hairbrush. I have been having hair loss problems lately, so I finally decided to buy one because nobody got it for me even though it was on my wish list last year, LOL.

Tangle Teezer is a UK brand, but they carry it at Luxola.com, a Singapore online shopping website for various foreign brands. I was so happy when I discovered that Tangle Teezer is available in plum, which is a shade of my favorite color, but to my dismay, it was out of stock. Luckily, Luxola has a feature which allows you to waitlist an item so that you will get a notification if it’s back in stock, so I hit that button.

Last Friday I got an email informing me that my coveted item was back in stock, so I quickly fired up my laptop to put in my order. It was my first order from the shop, so I used a coupon code for 15% off, which they sent me via email when I first signed up. The coupon code was only valid for a certain amount of time, so I was glad my brush was in stock just in time before the coupon expired. (Though I could just have signed up for another account if it had not been!)

Another pleasing thing about the site is that they give you an option of when you want your goods to be delivered, including a day and time window, which is very convenient so you know exactly when to be around for the package’s arrival. They can do this because they hand-deliver their goods themselves and not use a courier or mailing service. When I got my order, it came in a pretty paper bag, like I had just shopped for it at a store in the mall. This is definitely the first time I experienced this from buying something online, as they usually come in tightly wrapped packages.

Since I cut my hair short, I don’t really have a lot of tangles that need untangling, but I did notice that when I use this to brush my hair when it’s dry, none of my hair falls off and wraps itself up in the bristles like with other brushes, which is amazing. It definitely helps with hair fall control, which was my reason for buying it.

I can’t say the same thing with wet hair, though. Still, the hair I lose then is not as much as when I use other brushes. I guess I just need to be more careful when my hair is wet.

I wish I had bought this brush earlier, when I still had long curly hair that was really hard to detangle. Well I’m definitely holding on to this, though, for when my hair grows long again.
