Yesterday I attended the wedding of my teammate Kris to her boyfriend..err…now husband, Ipe. Cute pair, Kris and Ipe, same names as the now defunct celebrity love team. The wedding was held in San Agustin Church in Intramuros, chosen by the couple for its historical significance. Apparently, when it comes to choosing a church to be married in, you shuold choose one that would always be there no matter how old you get. The church ceremony was quite short because it lasted less than an hour and this was because the church was booked strictly for 3-4pm only because there was another wedding at 4-5pm. Wow. I guess it’s because this church is in demand.
After the mass, we headed to the reception area which was also in Intramuros. It was an open field, and tents had been erected to cover the tables. A good thing, too, because it started to rain. That would explain the extreme humidity. While waiting for the program to start, we had fun with the crystal goblets. My tablemates were amazed when I successfully caused loud music to reverberate from the crystal by wetting my finger and rubbing it around the rim over and over. Then the bride and groom walked around the tent areas, headed by a torch parade. Cris looked so beautiful and blissful with a megawatt smile on her face. After they were seated, each table was called infront to pose with the newlyweds before heading to the buffet table. The food was delicious, as expected. Some external photographers came in to take pictures of us, then later presented us with copies for sale. We bought some of them, even though lots of us had brought digicams (including me) and we already had plenty of poses.
Later on, it was time for the traditional bouquet toss. Kris called all her single female friends infront, and that included me. All the single girls were then asked to gather around the bride and pass around the bouquet until the music stopped. And when it did, the one holding the bouquet would be, as tradition goes, the next one to get married, as well as the one to whom the single guy who caught the garter would slip it on. The bouquet ended up with some girl I didn’t know. After that, we left. We were supposed to watch a movie afterwards but since it was raining hard, we didn’t push through.

Hi! You know what, I had one of the biggest regrets of my gimmick life… my Fiance and I left right in time for the credits (which we usually do to avoid traffic at exit parking)….that’s why, I MISSED that last scene you (and our other friends) mentioned! Gee, so much for the expensive tickets…waaaaaah!!!

Anyway, thanks for visiting my page. Cute, we have some things in common! Hope
