We were here!! It was my first time to spend new year partying, can you believe it? No, wait, I did go to this new year countdown concert thingie in Makati back in 2004, but the rest of my new years had been spent at home with my family, blowing horns, jumping to grow taller, and yelling happy new year to everyone and happy birthday to my dad and pigging out on his birthday feast.
When we (Joey, Gelle, Cate, Rodel and I) arrived at the scene, we lined up for the trampoline jump. I screamed, overcome by my fear of heights, and didn’t even have the guts to execute somersaults on air.
Later we welcomed the new year on the sandy dance floor with cups of Bacardi-pineapple cocktails, a short fireworks display, lots of loud pumping music and some cute Matt Damon-looking guys around.
Then we headed towards the foam party and had a blast dancing while being drenched with fragrant smelling soap bubbles flying all over the dance area.
It was past 2am when we decided to go home via 2 buses. The aircon was so damn cold on my wet clothes and skin, but I wrapped myself in my also wet sarong and slept all the way. It was 5am by the time we got home. Yes it was that far. All worth it, though.
Happy new year! ^_^

Cool to know! Looking from pics this year event, but hard to come by 🙁 But obviously it was a pumping and steaming event as always. Next year I’ll be there! Ciao
