It’s the day after today (if that confused you, please refer to yesterday’s post) and I’m proud to say that I did it! The first four habits I want to form, I mean.
Habit 1: Sleep at 10pm. I hit the bed at 10pm last night, and managed to fall asleep, though it was pretty much touch and go at around midnight when I woke up and had trouble getting back to sleep. I’m quite a light sleeper, and though my own roommates are early-to-bed people themselves, our other flatmates are still usually up and about till after midnight and their noises gave me grief. Solution to that? No, I can’t possibly soundproof our bedroom with egg cartons. Earplugs. Or ipod. Must charge tonight.
Habit 2: Wake up at 6am. Ok, so I woke up at 6-ish, but that’s not bad, right? Especially considering that I broke my REM cycle last night and still stuck to my guns.
Habit 3: Exercise every morning. So it was just one round of jogging around the grassy field outside our flat, but everybody’s gotta start somewhere. Oh yeah, I also did 20 turn-and-bounces and 10 squat thrusts. That’s two out of the air force dozen exercises that I learned and did when I trained as a CAT officer back in High School.
Habit 4: Eat healthy and lite. To be specific, oatmeal for breakfast and dinner. This is actually what I call the “bank way” of losing weight, since this was how Maya lost weight all those years ago when she first started working for a bank. Yes, it worked, but then she resigned and moved to a different company which gave better pay and made her afford more food. Sometimes, poverty has its advantages. Look how thin I was back in College.
This also includes steering clear of oily and sweet food. Basically following the south beach diet way too.
But this is just day 1 out of 365 days, or 21 days, if you look at it from the “it take 21 days to form a habit” perspective. So wish me luck!

hahahaha. then perhaps you’ll give me two pats for waking up at 4am today. <br />it wasn’t on purpose though. will probably blog about it, though, so will not explain here.

ok, first off i would like to give you a pat on the back for waking up at 6am.<br /><br />WHO DOES THAT?! lol.<br /><br />But you are right Dee, you have to start somewhere in order to go forward. <br /><br />A wish without a plan is just a dream. Control your wishes. <br /><br />You just did. <br /><br />Keep it up.
