After walking around Chinatown and Ion Orchard, Cate, Chu and I finally got home where a surprise was waiting for me – spaghetti aglio oglio, fried chicken, black forest cake, banderitas, party hats crowns, and a room full of friends yelling “Happy Birthday!”
the princess and the cherries (now that’s a new fairy tale)
with an Indian special guest… kidding, Tatsie is in sari costume for a work event
with the mastermind who brought the props all the way from Thailand
I was able to knot a cherry stem using my tongue
the knotted cherry stem – supposedly proof that I’m a good kisser. hahaha.
After having our fill of the food, they broke out a bottle of tequila with lemon wedges, salt, and shot glasses. Chu introduced a game called Fuzzy Duck.
Fuzzy Duck Game Mechanics:
Form a circle. The game starts off with someone saying “fuzzy duck” to the person directly to their right. This process continues around the circle until someone says “does he?” The direction then changes but now players have to say “ducky fuzz” instead. This carries on until someone says “does he” again, where players must now revert back to “fuzzy duck.” When someone messes up and says it wrong they must down a shot of tequila.
After that, Gelle and I decided to introduce our favorite card game back in P&G called “Memory Game.”
Memory Game Mechanics:
Each player chooses an animal sound (or celebrity name, curse words, scientific name, whatever you want) to play under. The cards are all dealt and placed facedown in piles in front of each player. Players go around the table turning over their top card and placing it face up in their own discard pile. When a player turns up a card that matches the suit on another pile, the two pile owners race to say each other’s animal sound. The first to do so gives his pile to the other. The one who has the most number of cards at the end of the game is the loser who has to down a shot.
Both games had us succumbed in laughter. When Tin kept on saying “Does he f*ck?” by mistake. When Rodel said “F*cky duck” and didn’t even realize that he had made a mistake. When Cate said “Ducky” instead of “Does he?” When Tatsie yelled “Kirsten Dunst!” at Monet even though it was Cate’s card suit that matched Monet’s. It was one very happy birthday surprise indeed. Thanks so much guys! ^__^
