Cate, Tatsie and I moved to our new flat in Ang Mo Kio last Sunday. We didn’t realize that we had sooo much stuff! We were afraid that they wouldn’t fit into the moving van that Tatsie had booked for 40 bucks but it turns out we need not have worried. The truck was so huge that even Tatsie, Geannette and I fit into the back. It was a funny experience, though, being jostled around in the darkness. Now I know what a refugee feels like.

I love our new place. It’s so much prettier than our old one. Plus we get to have beds and cabinets and TV. Geannette and I rearranged the furniture in my room to my liking before moving to the kitchen to cook spaghetti. Turns out they had another surprise in store for me. This time, Elma, Tyne and AA showed up with yet another cake, grapes and some chicken. We enjoyed a hearty meal and good conversation in our new pink-tiled kitchen.

So it’s a new house at the same time a new employment state. The symbolism isn’t lost on me. Clean slate at 27. Looking forward to my new life. 🙂
