Forbes calls it the vampire craze. They’re on the big screen and the small screen. Why are vampires such a favorite staple for entertainment? In real life, would you dig being a vampire’s lover? I certainly would not!
Before they made it to the screens, though, they were on paper, coming alive in our imaginations.
These are some of the vampire stories I’ve read. Christopher Pike’s Alisa Perne of The Last Vampire series was the first vampire I got hooked on. The series was called thus because 5000-year-old Alisa is the last vampire on earth – or so she believes.
I read Interview with the Vampire and the Twilight and True Blood series out of curiosity but didn’t really become a fan, for some reason, even though the rest of the world are going gaga over them.
I am currently reading these four books that I borrowed from the library.

i got hooked on vampires after watching francis ford coppola's film dracula. started with stoker's books, then edgar allan poe, then stephen king, then anne rice. the journey was peppered by not so great vampire series most of which I've forgotten.

my highschool yearbook profile: "i want to be a vampire someday." 😛

bwahaha that's a unique profile indeed!

which is the best vampire book for you? i actually read edgar allan poe but i don't remember them much since i was in elementary then. i don't remember vampires, just the cask of amontillado and the telltale heart… i think i was mostly into his short stories. i don't like stephen king coz he's too scary. XD

i

hahah…I was about to blog about this. Its a crying shame. they should stop ripping off Twilight. its like when you heard an awesome joke then when you tried it on someone else its aint funny anymore.

yup- it's actually my friend's 2nd book of poetry.

actually, i think charlaine harris received a movie offer before meyer. but she turned it down coz she felt it would sacrifice the story if you compress the more than ten books in the series into a couple of films.

there was a vampire series sometime in the late 90s – forever night. i liked it. but it only lasted a
